Hi peeps,

This is my first time on the forums, first post, first time buying a 2nd-hand car, almost first time in everything.

As I'm browsing sa mga used cars, lagi kong nakikita yung "assume balance". Ano ba iyun?

Thanks,

Paul

Tama yung first response, assume balance pertains to continue paying the unpaid monthly amortizations left. This is normally not allowed by the financing institution(bank) unless the balance is fully paid and refinanced. There is also risk on both parties, if the buyer doesn't pay the remaining balance, the seller's credit standing may get ruined. On the other hand, any deed of sale will be deemed invalid due to the clauses stated on the financing documents which can render any buyer defenseless from any claims pertaining the said vehicle. A lawyer can probably explain this better. Smile

Not a good idea....

check mo magkano yung presyo ng brand new tapos compute mo sa ibabayad mo sa kanya plus yung remaining balance niya sa bank.. baka 5k to 10k difference lang yan tapos almost 1 year na niya ginamit eh kumuha ka na lang ng brand new

if you can post the brand and model of the car na gusto mo kunin and yung complete details niya like magkano ang babayaran mo sa seller and how much ang monthly.

Also another thing you need to check kung updated ba insurance niya or ikaw pa ang magbabayad ng insurance niya... Kasi kung more than a year niya ginamit most likely expired na insurance niya and need to update eh aabot din ng 20K ang comprehensive na mag acts of nature na insurance
