My post here doesn't concern sulit scammers but since we are all doing business here I thought it will be helpful for everybody to know... I am a supplier of fashion accessories directly from Bkk Thailand. Just recently I had a package sent to Manila via EMS (as I've been using EMS to send to other countries including Jordan), everything fine, EMS thailand assured that package will arrive not later than 7 days which is a good thing with all the tracking and stuff... tracked and the package was in customs manila 3 days after i sent it here in Bkk. It took them 1 week to give notice to my client for pick up in EMS Post Pasay, which started to piss me off. But what really made me disgusted was that they asked 2700php tax for items which only costs 2600php... what was that a joke or something?! Tax is 100% more than the value of the items.

So what I did was to browse the net and I've found similar issues and concerns regarding the EMS people in Pasay Philpost.. asking unbelievable amount for claiming packages abroad. I never expected that I will be ripped off in my own country... What a disgrace to our own people.

Thanks for the post. I wrote an email to Inquirer regarding that matter. At least media should be aware that not only from the high ranking officials may corrupt pati na rin sa local offices. What my client did was to call somebody she knew from that Philpost office and she was adviced to get the package the following day.. to her surprise she didn't pay anything expect for the 35php processig fee.
