Philippines is The only Christian nation in Asia

 http://wiki.answers.com/Q/FAQ/5342

The Philippines is the only predominantly Christian nation in Asia. About 92% of the population is Christian while the rest belongs to minor religions, which include Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism, and other indigenous beliefs.

We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true--even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 1 John 5:20

I  disagree with you hotbenetton, yang sinab ninyoi nagbibigay ka lang ng kahihiyan sa pangalan ng Christiyanismo. Famous tayo sa corruption, kidnapping, murders, child abuse, drug lords, gambling lords, syndicated carnappers, corrupt officials etc lahat ng gawaing masama you name it meron tayo plus  the Filipino leaders which is ready to put each other down kahit pareho ang mga relihiyon nila. Is that a sign  that this country is Christian Country and the God is Jesus Christ? Nakakahiya at nakakasira sa pangalan ng Cristiyanismo ang sabihin mo na the Philippines is the only Christian Country in Asia. Mas maniniwala pa ako na ang Japan at Korea ang sabihin mo na the only Christian Country in Asia, but the Philippines oh no hotbenetton, Jesus is not the God of this country this is a Marian country.

Oh my Jeebus!

Here we go again. Someone starting his/her own religious topic.

Seriously. I believe you people are really looking for confrontation.

Just pick one of the many existing topics already heating up about the most peaceful and merciful God where everyone is arguing what he said or what the pastors said. No need to start a new one.

God wants it mister, that His word should be discussed, explained and debated, in order that the truth should come out.

Now I ask you,  are you in favor that this country  the Philippines shall be called "The Only Christian Country in Asia?" A country  that is 2nd as the most corrupt nation in the world, corrupt bureaucracy, corrupt politicians, corrupt justice system, corrupt law enforcement, corrupt military officers and most of all corrupt lifestyles and values of its citizenry.

To quote you from another discussion

ardeelo, sir, combativeness and hardheadness is not in our doctrine, and most of all if possible we avoid to be known as the members of the Ang Dating Daan since there are a lot of religious leaders who hated us too much that they have already murdered and killed 9 of our members.  You mentioned the "Word of the Lord," as a former member of the Evangelical Churches that lingo is usually used specially by the Pencostals not by the members of the ADD. We abhor using that words in our daily conversastions, for us that is a form of blasphemy. Most of all we are not  allowed to have a face to face debate with other religions since our lives is always in danger specially to these members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.  I think you are mistaken in that group, in thinking that they are members of the ADD. The way you portray those trainees through their deeds and actions is contrary to our doctrines of humiity and to submit themselves to authorities.

Nomnomnomnomnom!

I eat contradictions for breakfast.

Also - is corruption an exclusive trait of any faith, creed or race? What you mean to say is just call it the only Roman Catholic country in Asia so that your being "Christian" cannot be maligned by the infection that is corruption?  Jeebus woman! Let the man without sin cast the first stone or so to speak.

+1 thanks sir,

instead of teaching the right gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons, giving it free, they do it otherwise.

Jesus is coming very soon, and this people will not be ready when that time comes.

Busy kasi sila sa pakikipag-debate, ofcourse you can't force everyone to believe in you.

Just shut up and read the bible for yourself !

and make sure it's the authorized one, King James ofcourse.

if you got King James Version, then you got a real bible.

don't forget also to ask the author for the wisdom, the author?

JESUS ofcourse! He is God right? and the word was God right?

Yung Africa religious ba sila? Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, etc.  So may relate ba talaga ang pagiging religious?

Di ba kaya nga may parable of talents?  Ibig sabihin Christians are taught the value of work.  Although God the Father provides, when provisions come we still need to work.  There are over 2000 verses that teaches about principles in handling our finances properly.  The problem is most Filipino "Christians" never really open their bibles to learn such concepts... kaya nga di ba sinasabi "faith without works/action is dead"?  So anong resulta eh di dead or zero rin...

@ PinoyNetworker,
