Herbal Plants and Remedies –We opted to give several plants  for one illness as it is sometimes difficult to avail a certain plant in a certain market or locality.

Reminders:

1.      Use only stainless pots for boiling to avoid chemical reaction that might affect the medicinal elements of the plants.

2.      Use only one kind of plants for every kind of illness or disease.

3.      When boiling the plants, say for 16 minutes, do not put the pot cover, to allow the toxic to evaporate if any.

4.      Always rinse the plant or leaves in running water.

5.      Filter the decucted water before drinking.

6.      As some people have allergies to shrimps and crabs, and so are to plants . If you observe any signs of allergy, stop using it immediately and clean or wash the body parts where the plant has been applied. If  itchiness and inflammation continuous, seek doctor’s advise.

@ Sis Aimee - May bago tayo, charmomile health benefits. Hahaha, nakakatuwa, ang dami nating natutunan na hindi natin natutunan sa school. Manzanilla pala ito. hehehe

@ xnex150 - correct ka dyan.

Chamomile tea benefits have been widely acknowledged and recognized for centuries.

Chamomile tea comes from herb Matricaria recutita, also known as manzanilla. Its flowers

and leaves have been brewed for centuries and drank as a fragrant and flavorful tea.

Chamomile tea's reputation as a medicinal tea shows little signs of abatement.

 Chamomile Tea Benefits

Chamomile tea has been regarded as a medicinal cure-all. It had been considered a universal remedy by the ancient Egyptians.

Now, researchers in England have found new evidence that the chamomile tea may actually help relieve a wide range of health

ailments, including colds and menstrual cramps.

The researchers have found that drinking chamomile tea was associated with a significant increase in urinary levels of hippurate (breakdown products of certain plant-based compounds) and glycine (an amino acid).

The presence of those components appear to contribute to the following Chamomile Tea Benefits:

  • Chamomile tea boosts the immune system and fight infections associated with colds
  • Chamomile tea relieves muscle spasms and menstrual cramps in women
  • Chamomile tea relaxes the nerves
  • Chamomile tea soothes the stomach
  • Chamomile tea reduces inflammation
  • Chamomile tea improves liver function
  • Chamomile tea helps relieve back pain
  • Chamomile tea helps relieve rheumatism

Levels of both hippurate and glycine remained elevated for up to two weeks after the study participants stopped drinking

the tea, indicating that the compounds may remain active for quite some time, according to the researchers.
